MS Project Assignment Submission: Individual Assignment ASSIGNNIENT OVERVIEW This assignment is an individual assignment consisting of an MS Project plan and a written component. You have been contacted by a client Wishing you to build them ten mobile ice cream trucks. Before negotiating a contract, you and the client want to develop a project plan. Requirements 1. The length of the project should be approximately one year. 2. The ice cream truck is to deliver vanilla and chocolate ice cream. 3. The truck's propulsion is to be a gas engine. 4. The coolant system is to be of a hydraulic and electrical design. 5. Your team consists of four individuals. 6. In process deliverables are required. 7. Create a resource overview report. 8. Create a project overview report. There is a creative component to this assignment. You will create a six-step plan for a project of your choice. Do not use the MS Project examples as templates. The implementation should include design, development, testing, documentation, training, and turnover phases. Your success will directly relate to feasibility of your plan, and the degree of detail you provide. INSTRUCTIONS In a PowerPoint presentation (using a format of your choice) include with your project plan the following items: a. Scope Document. I Background. Describe the project background and the description of the project. - Scope. Dene the scope of the project, including the project's boundaries. - Requirements. Describe the high-level requirements of the project. Make sure to explain how the project supports the organization's strategic and/or tactical goals. Add any requirements you think necessary. c Deliverables. What are the deliverables associated with this project? - Execution. What can the customer expect from you during the implementation of the project? v Client Assets. Do you require anything from the customer (e .g. peripheral devices, server space, data, etc.)? b. MS Project Plan - Create a WBS Level 3 for the project activities. . Have approximately 25 work packages for the project. - Ensure that WBS dependencies are clearly represented. - Document at least two different dependencies somewhere in the project plan. v Include a WBS numbering system. - Create a team of resources - Assign resources to all WBS tasks 0 Ensure there is a sensible Start Date and End Date for each task - Report on cost estimates for a mid-project point in time using parameters assigned to the resources - Resource usage reports at project completion. - No resource over allocations - Appropriate use of milestones of required.
