Another goal of the client is to obtain an annual return of at least $9000. This goal can be achieved with a portfolio consisting of 2000 shares of US Oil and 600 shares of Hub Properties; the annual return would be 2000($3)+600($5) = $9000. The portfolio risk index would be 2000(0.5)+600(0.25) = 1150; thus, this portfolio achieves the annual return goal but does not satisfy the portfolio risk index goal.

The client's top priority is to restrict risk; that is, keeping the portfolio risk index at 700 is seen as 3 times more important than obtaining the $9000 return. Specifically, every 1 risk unit that the portfolio deviates from 700 is 3 times worse than every $1 shortfall below a $9000 return.

Question 3: Given the penalties implied in the prior paragraph, compute the number of total penalty points for the solution obtained in Q1 and Q2.

Question 4: Copy the model into a 3rdtab in the spreadsheet (rename the tab "goal prgm"). Formulate this problem as a goal program to help Next properly advise the client.
