Nature's Supermarket

A chain of grocery stores is building a system to allow customers to place online orders for groceries and other items they sell. The customer selects item. System check inventory to makes sure item is available at the local store. Once all selections are completed, the order is validated and confirmed, an order record is created, the customer account updated, and the order is sent electronically to the designated local store.

Local store clerks picked items from the shelves. When packing is completed, an invoice is printed and inventory in local store updated, the store then notifies to web order department, and the system email customers notifying that their order is ready for pick up.

Customers then pick up their orders at the local store by showing their IDs, sign and pick up their web orders at the store's service desk.

Naturally, the local stores are open for walk in customers. Customers pick items off shelf, pay for the items, and given a receipt/invoice. Similar to web order, store inventory is updated once walk in sale is completed.
