Dependable Maximum Emission LCOE Type Factor Plant Factor Factor (Baht/kWh) (%) (kgco2/kWh) Coal fired 100% 100% 1.0 Cheapest Imported hydro 100% 80% Moderate Combined Cycle 100% 100% 0.4 Most Expensive * Every power plant should be operated at its maximum plant factor condition, except in case it is the most expensive unit or it reaches system constraint e.g. fuel limit, emission limit, and etc. 0.0 Suppose that peak load of this system in the first year is 1,000 MW and it is forecasted to increase 100 MW each year. In addition, assume that load factor of this system is 75% and it will remain unchanged for at least 5 years. Consider a short period (5-year) power development planning with the following constraints: (i) (ii) (iii) The minimum reserve margin is 15% The imported electricity must be not higher than 25% CO2 emission must be less than 0.5 kgCO2/kWh If there are only these 3 types of candidate power plants, what is the generation system at the end of the 5th year
