Ch 16: Process Costing PMC, Inc manufacture golf tees. They use the method of Process Costing to determine amounts of completed golf tees transferred from WIP to FGI. Consider the following information in order to calculate the cost of finished golf tees transferred to FGI. The zero's have been dropped to make the math easier to calculate. At the beginning of the month there were 50 golf tees in process. Those units were 40% complete with respect to DM and 80% complete as to conversion. During the month 200 golf tees were started and completed. At the end of the month there are 30 golf tees in process that are 70% complete as to DM and 40% complete with respect to conversion Beginning WIP for DM is $39 and beginning WIP for conversion is $57. During the month $502 costs were added to DM and $666 conversion costs were added. Using the FIFO method determine: a) Equivalent Units (e.u.) for DM b) Equivalent Units (e.u.) for Conversion c) Ending WIP for DM $ d) Ending WIP for Conversion $ e) Ending FGIS Using all of the same information, now calculate using the Weighted Average method. feufor DM B) e u. for Conversion W Units transferred to FGI for DM Units transferred to FGI for Conversion
