My company employs a matrix organizational structure comprising functional and project-based divisions. This structure allows flexibility and efficient resource allocation, with employees reporting to functional and project managers. The matrix structure facilitates collaboration across departments and enhances communication, promoting innovation and swift problem-solving (Galbraith, 2014). I reached this conclusion based on the company's emphasis on cross-functional teams and the frequent assignment of employees to various projects simultaneously. This approach ensures that specialized skills are leveraged effectively while maintaining a coherent strategic direction. Regarding control, participative control works most effectively with me. This approach involves employees in decision-making processes, fostering a sense of ownership and accountability.
