My current organization is an elementary school that serves scholars from 3k to fifth grade. One issue that I have noticed is colleagues feeling as if they are not appreciated. Many staff members feel they work extremely hard and go above and beyond their work description, yet need to be recognized for their accomplishments and efforts. If staff feel unappreciated, I come in with this prior knowledge of how colleagues and staff feel. It's my chance to teach the ways of Systemic Thinking and Practice. "Systems Thinking refers to seeing an organization as a whole, made up of interrelated and interdependent parts. The human body is a good example of a system whereby bones, muscles, tissues, and organs perform interdependent and interrelated functions" (Coghlan, D. 2019)
