My dominant decision-making style is Directive Who Gets Ahead?

Frank still couldn't believe it. He finally had gotten his opportunity to transfer to the Consumer Products division. Consumer Products was known to be the most demanding and dynamic division within the company. He was thrilled about the new job. He flipped through the notes he had taken during the last few weeks. It had become obvious that an additional supervisor was needed in order for his whole group to succeed. Frank wanted to promote from within, in order to boost morale, and he had narrowed down his list to 2 candidates. Brett's performance records showed that he had a 3 year track record of solid performance. He worked well without much guidance and was recognized as an expert within the group. Rebecca had several years of solid experience as a project leader and her teams had always performed particularly well. Frank learned through his meetings with her that she was feeling burned-out and in need of a change. Frank wanted to make the right choice because he knew that he would have to live with it for a few years. Early on, he had hoped his new manager, Marta, would provide some guidance, but she said that the decision was his to make. Questions:
