My name is Trenton Jones and I live here in Mesa with my wife of 2 years and our little French Bulldog of 8 months. I am taking this course as part of my degree requirements. I am currently double majoring in Accounting and Finance with plans to become a CPA. I am currently a full time student as well as a full time employee. I currently work in Tempe as a Payroll Specialist at a large corporate staffing agency. My dream is to live a simple, successful, and meaningful life with my wife and future family. We love traveling and keeping busy with hobbies and playing sports.

I took an economics class in high school and just finished up a macroeconomics course this past spring. I like the concepts of economics and like researching and learning about the importance of economics in the US and around the world. I'm a veteran online student as I've taken multiple courses online and understand how to navigate around various systems. A recommendation for new online students would be to learn how to navigate Canvas and any other systems before you dive in. It will make it much easier to learn. My style of learning is direct information that is important and usable. I do also like to learn from visuals such as graphs and statistics.

One thing that really stood out to me was the various market structures and markets focuses that countries have. For example, in Tokyo, they have a big fish market where the video stated that 6 million pounds of fish are sold every day. That's just one market in Japan where I'm sure there are many other markets that sell millions more pounds of fish every day combined.
