My question though is this. The US has long relied on foreign manufacturing for many products, China and India are two countries that produce much of what we purchase. This pandemic has disrupted the supply chain, with those countries being on lockdown many items aren't or can't be produced. So, with every challenge comes an opportunity. Does manufacturing in the US rebound or recover as a result of this pandemic and how? Would our consumers be willing to pay higher costs (presumably because of higher labor) in an effort to lower the risks of supply chain disruptions in the future?

Should it become a necessity for manufacturer's to produce some percentage of goods locally, in an effort to diversify the supply chain?
