It is a thin strip of land running parallel to the coast of North Carolina, and there is water on both sides of it. One body of water is the ocean, and the water between the Outer Banks and the coast is called the sound. A lot of this strip of land is covered with sand dunes dunes often shift right into the road! Kitty Hawk is where the Wright brothers successful airplane, and there is a great museum there where you can learn all about it. our vacation for a couple of days since none of us wanted to go home! , there is so much sand that the flew their first I would say that the Outer Banks are definitely interesting There is no shortage of fun activities to do. We sometimes went to a race track where I was allowed to drive the car really fast around the track by myself. I was a really good driver I beat my brother three times! We wanted to go on a dolphin cruise; we were not able to get tickets because we didn't buy them in advance , we went fishing, and I caught a and the dolphin cruise is very popular mahi all by myself! It was the biggest fish that anyone on the boat with us caught that day. We spent a lot of time on the beach; ,we were usually very hungry by of the day.when we were done having fun each day, we got to sample the awesome North Carolina cuisine. We soon had a favorite restaurant. I had fish and chips (French fries) every night for dinner This restaurant had great desserts; doesn't sound that special, but we got lots of sandwich stuff at the local grocery store and took tey were all homemade. I know it ic out to the beach every day. When you're out in the fresh air, getting exercise, there is nothing better than a good old ham sandwich at lunch time mind there being a little sand in it! if you don't I highly recommend the Outer Banks as a vacation spot.
