Virtual organizations are networks of independent companies, suppliers, customers, and manufacturers connected through information technologies so they can share skills and costs and have access to each other's markets. Some advantages of virtual organizations are quicker response time to customers and more efficiency Reduced product development time and reduced cost of hiring are also advantages. Virtual organizations can customize products more to match customer's needs. Witlh the advantages, there are disadvantages as well. There is little to no interaction between employees because there are not many opportunities to do so. Sometimes it may be hard to measure employee performance when they are not required to work in an office setting. Communication can be very difficult in situations where a face to face conversation would be best, people often misinterpret emails or even phone conversations. Overall, the advantages seem to outweigh the disadvantages and that is why more virtual organizations are being created
