Need a response to this
According to research, over 60% of church-goers say that a church's website is important in facilitating their participation at church (CRCNA.org). A website allows them to explore serving opportunities at church, connect with their congregation and community, forward helpful information to others, and more. This is even more true when it comes to Christian missionary organizations. Even though most Christin missionaries serve in under privileged communities where the residents might not have adequate access to the internet, they still need an internet presence for a lot of reasons.
If I was a CEO of a new missionary organization I would commission the design of website that borrows a lot from the The Joshua Project website (https://www.joshuaproject.net/ Links to an external site.). What I like the most about this website design is how easy it is access all the information one might need. They make great use of maps, graphs, pictures and flags of the respective countries they have reached. However, I think the website could do with a more elegant design, something a bit more modern and well organized. The site seem to lack a bit of color and looks more like a government website than a missionary website. On top of that, the site seem to not have a proper e-commerce solution.
Another website I would borrow from is the Faith Community Church website (https://faithma.org/). This website has most of what the Joshua Project website lacks. This site offers an excellent example of visual hierarchy. The visitors attention is drawn to the mission statement first due to its size and center position on the page. This is followed by a colorful Connect Here CTA, which prompts visitors to fill out a contact form. At the very top of the website in the nav bar is a "Give" button. Upon clicking the button you are taken to a page that informs on How to give, Why you should give and so on. One can give through their bank, a giving app, a text message, amazon smiles or donate assets.
