Problem Statement: Injecting client side scripts using Cross Site Scripting (XSS) mechanism hinders the security of the websites. It is considered one of the top 10 web application vulnerabilities. Almost 50% of the web applications are prone to Cross Site Scripting (XSS) 4. Objective: The objective of the project is to demonstrate how Cross Site Scripting (XSS) can be performed by hackers on a website 5. Methodology: Create an ASP.NET web project that has 2 pages. First page has data entry fields and a navigation link that takes to second page using a query string. Perform Cross Site Scripting (XSS) attacks on the website by passing JavaScript code into data entry fields and query string. 6.
