I need help writing a mips/spim code that follows the following instructions below. The code must also work in QTspim
I am to implement the following c standard functions strcmp, strlen based off the implementation of strcpy in assembly language which is the following.
strcpy:
addi $sp, $sp, -4
sw $s0, 0($sp)
add $s0, $zero, $zero
L1:
add $t1, $s0, $a1
lb $t2, 0($t1)
add $t3, $s0, $a0
sb $t2, 0($t3)
beq $t2, $zero, L2
addi $s0, $s0, 1
j L1
L2:
lw $s0, 0($sp)
addi $sp, $sp, 4
jr $ra
These are the following instructions:
Use $a0 through $a3 as necessary for the standard C library's arguments to each function.
Return in $v0.
IMPORTANT Do *not* write a main program. You will be given a testing program soon.
It is fine if a lot of your functions look a lot like each other. In fact, that's a good sign.
Don't worry about overruns or exception cases.
