Benefits of conducting a stakeholder analysis.
A stakeholder analysis is important because it will: (1) Identify the stakeholder groups
that will be most affected by a planned change for the organization. (2) It can help predict how
each group is likely to be positively or negatively affected by the change implementation. (3) It
will help to identify which groups will have the most concern and / or resistance to the change.
(4) With this information, the implementers can plan in advance; a tailored strategic
communication method for selling the change initiative to each group of stakeholders so as to
quell any concerns and overcome resistance.
Key People
Though I would consider any team member who contributes to an organizations success to be a "key person", for the sake of this scenario, I would list the following members as "key
people" in terms of change management. I have also listed a portion of their job summary which
supports my identification of them by this term:
Vice President - Manages the strategic plan that guides the direction of the
company.
Sales Manager - works cross-functionally to handle and maintain strategic
planning and scalable processes.
Accounting Manager - focuses on process improvements.
