Need help in rewriting this in my own words please
As part of the large organizational change process in the venture to find a buyer of the life sciences company, I have been asked to build a guiding coalition that will shape, guide, and
sustain the change effort of the organization. There are four key characteristics in identifying the
individuals in a guiding coalition: 1) having position power, especially line managers which are
key to help continue the change progression, 2) cross functional expertise to make informed
decisions, 3) ensure each individual has credibility within the organization, and 4) the individuals
have proven leadership and management skills to drive the change (Kotter, 2012).
Recommendation
Upon reviewing the organizational chart and employee personas of the organization, I
have selected the following candidates that I feel meet the criteria of the guiding coalition for an
effective commitment in making a positive change impact. My recommendations are 1) Omar
Mattsson, Manufacturing Director; 2) John Martensson, Research Director; 3) Elaine Hartwick,
Acting Director; and 4) Leslie Krupp, Sales Rep.
