You have been hired as the technical consultant for stunts on the new Marvel film: Black Widow. The film's director is proposing a dramatic stunt and it is your responsibility to analyze the physics and sign off on its safety. The scene is described below. Natasha Romanoff (a.k.a Black Widow) is running at her max speed of 58.0 km/h while chasing a villain who has just made it to the side of the tracks before a subway train blocks her path. Luckily Natasha notices a ramp leading up to the subway and decides to run the ramp and jump over the subway train. The ramp is 3.55 m high and angled at 15 deg above the horizontal. The subway is 3.70 m t and Natasha crosses over the top of the subway train at the vertex of her jump. She lands on the other side of the subway train 1.38 s she jumps. In order to make the stunt safely, (a) Natasha must clear the top of the subway train by half a metre and (b) when she lands, she can't angled more than 32.0 deg below the horizontal or the safety mat won't protect her.
