1a) For each of the 5 product types (commodities, luxury goods, fashion goods, durable goods, technology), list 2 actual products that fall under each.

1b) For each of the 5 product types, explain why it has the characteristics of the supply chain priority listed. For example - why is it that for companies that manufacture or sell commodity type products, why is it important that the characteristics of the supply chain be ones that have low price, high availability and minimum quality standards. Answer this question also for the other 4 product types and their supply chain priorities.

2) For each of the 4 goals - capacity, responsiveness, flexibility and cost - Briefly explain what each measures - what is that goal about. Your answers should be based on info in this textbook

3) For each of the 4 cost drivers - procurement costs, transportation costs, inventory costs and quality costs - Identify and briefly explain one way you can reduce each one of these costs (for each cost driver).
