A company has carried out a staff well-being survey and received 2324 responses. The management would like to follow up a subsample of 12% of respondents at random to gain further information. In order to create this sample1 you will need to allocate approximately 12% of respondents at random to 'follow up1 (group 1) and the rest to 'no follow up' (group 0]. Run Minitab. (a) (b) (6) How many respondents would you expect to allocate to the follow-up group? Set the seed of Minitab's random number generator to the value 1830. Why do you think that you have been asked to do this? Use the appropriate facilitiu of Minitab to assign each of the 2324 respondent: to 'follow up' (group 1) or 'no follow up' (group 0) at random, with probability 0.12 that a respondent will be in the follow-up group. (i) State what method you used to allocate respondents to groups. E.g. 'I used the method described in Computer activity X'. (ii) How many respondents are randomised to take part in the follow-up group (group 1]? (iii) Using worksheet row numbers as respondent ID numbers, list the rst ten ID: of the respondents who will be asked to take part in the follow-up group. Comment on the outcome of the allocation of respondent: to the follow-up group that you obtained in part (h) compared with the number you expected in part (a). [1] l1] [1] [1]
