Nelson made the struggles of his nation a worldwide phenomenon. In the mid 1980's South Africans were part of an apartheid rule. During all of this, Nelson was still in prison. But the nation knew it wasn't going to be a good thing when this new rule went into full effect. As all these rules were getting put in place, mostly eyeryone all gathered to do rallies in efforts to dismantle all these new rules.
