Nested IF Functions By itself the IF function provides the entry of one logical test and one output value if true or value if false. However, a business project may require t one of man iness project may require the function to display a status rating based on five potential options: Very Low. Low, Good. High,or Very High. To produce one output from these five possibilities you would need to create an IF function with four logical tests. You can accomplish this by using a nested IF function. A nested IE function will be used to evaluate the inventory data shown in Figure 4.8, which contains revised data from Figure 4.1. For this example, we will assume the target inventory remains at 10.000 pounds. However if the inventory level is too high for any item, it may spoil. On the other hand, if the inventory is signiticantly below 10,000 pounds, the company may fall short of its production goals. This examo ple will use a nested IF function to display one of the following four outputs - Less than 5.000 pounds: Display the message Prod Risk." Greater than 5,000 pounds but less than 10.000 pounds: Display the message Low." . Greater than 14,000 pounds: Display the message "Spoil Risk - Between 10,000 and 14.000 pounds: Display the message "OK
