Every network devices have a capability to boot in different firmware. CISCO Catalyst 2960 switches might come with IOS 12.x. or 15.x. Please discuss the different and why we might need multiple version of IOS/firmware.

2. Remote Access.

Why did the ability to remotely manage a network device is so critical in a network management. Please discuss why most of the default protocol is telnet, even though it is not considered as a secured protocol.

3. Switching

Why did you think that ethernet port on every switch in pun in dynamic mode? Please discuss why did we need to manually change to trunk or access in term of operation and security.

4. Wireless

Wireless networks are computer networks that are not connected by cables of any kind. Attacker does not needed to be attach to any physical connection in order to break in.

Discuss the common attacks made against wireless networks. What are some ways to mitigate these attacks?
