Never used this before, but hopefully I'm keeping to the rules.

I'm making a DVD rental store program using linked lists, I have most of it done, but I'm struggling with creating the functions for customer type. I need to somehow create a random account number and store it for that account with a user name and on top of that keep a list of rented DVDs the person has rented.

I know how to keep track of DVDs that have been rented, but I don't know how to assign those particular details to a user account.
