They have also asked if it is a good idea that performance targets be linked directly to the budget. You sense that the business may find the budget process tedious and be reluctant to get involved and are pondering how to "sell" it to them, particularly as Annett will be in charge of leading it. Finally, Annett is complaining that the Accounting System is not fit for purpose. She wants to launch a standalone project that she will lead to implement a new system. You notice that she has not consulted with the business so far in this regard and has based her decision purely on the needs of the finance department.
