NHLQualifiers.txt is a tab delimited file containing information on the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoff Qualifiers. The data set includes the variables WinningTeam (the name of the winning team), WTScore (the winning team's score), LosingTeam (the name of the losing team), LTScore (the losing team's score), and Date (the date on which the game was held). Take note of the date format in the .txt file. (a) Load the NHLQualifiers.txt file into SAS. The entirety of the team names should be stored and the Date variable should be stored as date data. Use functions in SAS to create a variable called DaySince. This variable should be the number of days since the game took place. Print the resulting SAS data set and report the output. (b) Load the NHLQualifiers.txt file into R. Convert the Date variable into date data. Create a new variable called EndQual. This variables should be the number of hours between the date of the game and the date the qualifying round ended, which was August 9, 2020. Print the resulting data frame and report the output.
