I interviewed 70 people who were under 50 and who did not actively look for work in the past four weeks. Of these 70, 20 were full-time students who would take a job if given to them, 30 people stated that they use to be employed but had lost their job during the recession and had given up looking for work as they became discouraged, and 20 people did not want a job for a variety of reasons.
