You Must follow this outline please. Thank you! I. INTRODUCTION AGD: Usually 1-3 sentences in length, unless it is a Narrative. AGD's can also include a Startling Statistic, Rhetorical Question, Interactive Question, Hypothetical, Quotation, Visual Aid, Video Clip, or Personal Demonstration. Background/Audience Relevance: Relate to your audience. Why does/should this topic appeal to them? Give evidence/proof this issue is current and happening now. Think: a piece of information that helps explain why this topic is relevant now/controversial/or/part of the current day discussion. Justify why your audience should care. Speaker Credibility: Why makes you the authority on the topic? OR Why do you care? What interests you about the topic? Why do you connect or relate to this topic? Thesis: One declarative sentence that explicitly states your topic, your stance on that topic and your goal for the audience. Initial Preview: Present this section in present tense and explain a very short blueprint as to what your Mainpoints are going to be in the order you plan to address them. This order should remain consistent throughout the speech and your initial preview should include your mainpoints, only. II. BODY A.Main Point 1 : LABEL: Structural Options/suggestions: Problem-Cause-Solution, Monroe's Motivated Sequence, Comparative Advantages, Problem-Cause-Effect-Solution, or Problem- Solution 1.Subpoint 1 (If necessary) or Delete- (Be sure to include any research and citations that support your subpts.) 2.Subpoint 2 (If necessary) or Delete- (Be sure to include any research and citations that support your subpts.) Transition (Internal Review, Signpost, Internal Preview) B. Main Point 2 : LABEL: *Remember that a mainpoint is essentially a paragraph (4-6 sentences minimum) Each mainpoint or subpoint should be well balanced in regard to how much you write for each MP or Subpoint. Covering each mainpoint and subpoints within that mainpoint should take approximately the same amount of time as all other mainpoints.

Review: In past tense-state only the main points you outlined in the preview indicating what we learned. Clincher: The closing is usually 1-3 sentences in length and may return to your AGD. Options include: Narrative, Startling Statistic, Rhetorical Question, Interactive Question, Hypothetical, Quotation, Visual Aid, Video Clip, or Personal Demonstration. APA (Work Cited) Page or MLA (Bibliography) Include the MLA or APA citation.
