School officials want to provide students with the capability to retrieve course availability information, register for courses, and print transcripts using personal computers located in the student computer labs. In addition, faculty members must be able to retrieve students course lists, drop and add students, and record for the students they advice. Security is a prime concern, so students and course records must be protected by password access. Students will log onto Norwoods system using their student Id and PIN. They will be given the option of viewing current course listing or viewing information on courses they have completed. They can check what courses are available during the current term by viewing course information, such as course names, course ID, section numbers, days, time, location; and the availability of the open seats in the course. They can also view information about courses they have taken in the past as well as grades and GPAs. Faculty members will log onto system using faculty ID. They can select from the list of courses they are teaching in the current term and retrieve a list of students enrolled in the selected course. Faculty members can also retrieve list of his or her advisees. Select one. and then retrieve that student's past and current enrollment information.
