This lab must be based on the captured trace of TCP segments as specified in the description to receive credits.

Investigate the behavior of the TCP protocol in detail by analyzing a trace of the TCP segments sent and received via the Internet. More specifically,

Study TCP$$s use of sequence and acknowledgment numbers for providing reliable data transfer,

Analyze TCP$$s congestion control algorithm $$a slow start and congestion avoidance $$in action,

Examine TCP$$s receiver$-$advertised flow control mechanism, TCP connection management, and performance evaluation.

You can choose to do it individually or in a group with two students. If group work is selected, an appropriate contribution to the project needs to be specified, for example, A: $45\%,$ and B: $55\%$ in the report.
