It could be your own or it could be another. It could be large, medium, or small. It can be an actual organization OR an imagined organization.

Now, put yourself in the position of a consultant hired by the organization to create a web analytics strategy. Your mission is to develop a descriptive + prescriptive report for the organization in which you briefly explain web analytics concepts and then develop a strategy and plan to help the organization utilize web analytics to achieve its overall goals.

1. Introduction - summarize the organization's background information (size, history, industry, sales, mission statement, etc.).

Problem Statement - list any issues the organization is or may be experiencing that you believe web analytics could help solve (possible problems with products, customer issues, customer awareness, marketing, etc.). If it's your own organization, you can refer to your own knowledge and experience as a guide for how to approach this. If you choose another organization, you will need to do some research (either Internet-based or talking to a friend/colleague who works there). Another option - you've interacted with an organization and had a poor experience either as a customer or as a business partner.

Most importantly, how can web analytics help the organization achieve its goals? Include charts/tables/graphs/visuals if these will help.
4. action plan to specifically address the problem(s)/issues introduced in the Problem Statement. What specific tools do you recommend the organization should use? Why are they the best ones for the situation? When/how should they be implemented? How much will it cost? How should the resulting data be analyzed? What tools should be used for analysis? What might the data reveal, and how will that information help the organization address its issue(s) and help achieve organizational goals? Make your case as convincing as possible! It's crucial to show the benefits of your plan. Include charts/tables/graphs/visuals if these will help.
