Nothing Company manufactures a products Ana, Bana and Cana which comes in handy for just about anything. The products were sold this year at a sales mix of 5:4:3,repectively, same with last year sales mix. The total quantity sold this year is higher than last year by 20% as a result the gross profit increases this year by 25%. You gathered the necessary data to analyze the factors affecting the gross profit. You finished everything up by 5:00 P.M on the 31st. You decided to take all your noted home to review them prior to your formal presentation to the president first thing in the morning.

You spent the evening boning up on the data for your report and were ready to call it a night. As luck would have it though, your stuffs splattered everywhere, and, most unfortunately, obliterated most of your notes. All that remained legible is the following information.

Quantity Sold ThisYear (Product B) 9,600 units

Average Unit Gross Profit Last Year P 3.32 Total Cost last Year P 145,600

Cost Price Variance P 17,280 U

It is now 8:30 A.M. The executive committee meeting starts in just one hour; you realize that to avoid looking like a bungling fool you must somehow generate the necessary "backup" data for the variances before the meeting begins. Without backup data it will be impossible to lead the discussion or answer any questions.
