On January 1, 2021, Novak offered a cash payment of $5,100 to the bondholders in exchange for converting their bonds into common shares. All of the bondholders agreed to convert their bonds. At the time of the conversion, the market value of the bonds was $161,880 and the carrying value was $159,080.
