NOW we II move On TO CHEILISE. 4) Set the metronome to 50 (beats per minute). This will be the cycling cadence. A single leg sho make one revolution for each beat (ie, 50RPM). 5) Allow the participants time to warm up on the cycle ergometer with no resistance. This is a go time to get accustomed to the pace 50RPM. 6) Once the participant has warmed up, load each cycle ergometer to .5 KP (or 150 kgm/min) and begin the stopwatch/timer. 7) At 3min, take a 10sec pulse and calculate HR. Repeat this at 4min. 8) Once the 4min pulse is taken, increase the resistance to 300 kgm/min (1.0KP). 9) Now allow an additional 3min (approx. mins. 5-7) at this new workload before repeating the H measures (and again at a 4* minute approx. 8mins.). 10) After the second round of measurements, the participant will stop pedaling and remain on the to recover (passive recovery). 11) After 1min of rest (approx. 9mins. total) take another 10sec. pulse and calculate HR. Repeat t again at 2 min of rest (approx. 10 mins. total) 12) At this point the participant can dismount. The test is now over
