NTFS supports various permissions that enable each user to share entire drives or individual folders with the network. This permission is granted to each individual user when they connect to the network. Administrators use and provide access controls (known as security descriptors) for files, folders, containers, and objects on the network. The security descriptors control the information of access allowed for individual users and groups of users.

As an IT administrator, you need to set up a shared folder on a NTFS file system. The department manager that requested the shared folder has a list of employees that need permissions to the folder. Clerks need only to be able to read the files in the folder. Supervisors need to be able to read and change the files in the folder. The department manager needs to have all the access to the folder. Which NTFS permissions should you set at the folder level for each group of employees? Why? What permissions would people outside the department have?
