Ntshantsha Tafcen a 48 year old woman who grow up in Eastern Cape didn't let the lack of funding stop her from completing school. She mopped floors at a fast food franchise while improving her matric results and managed to complete a degree in Marketing Management and Industrial Psychology She worked in brand management for a while where she saw a gap in the Market for products such as her own. Now she used her industrial skills to do what she loves making her customer feel spoiled. She combined her business knowledge with her love for cosmetics and now owns a company Yivani Naturals that produce beauty products made from essentials oils, body lotions and aromatics with familiar herbs such as mpepho, muhulu and mhlonyame as the main ingredients. These herbs are normally used for cold and flu but have also proven to be good for the skin. They form a big part of the body lotions and essentials oils that she produces She basically worked from home with a few employees mixing the products with a few hands and using whatever work tools she could find. She did research and educated herself about the products to find the most suitable ingredients and the right quantities needed. She also had to take into consideration the gender of her customers and their diverse skin and did a short course on cosmetics The South African Bureau of Standards formed part of the testing process. She took her products to their labs and had them certified. The labelling takes forever because she doesn't have a machine for that, but she recently receive a grant of R600 000 from Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA), which she will use to buy the machinery she needs. Besides using social media, she takes her business everywhere she goes. Taking to individuals really helped. She also used exhibitions hosted by the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Department of Trade and Industry. She expanded her knowledge and she got to meet people who have taken the same path 1.1 Name FOUR factors that will influence the pricing of Ntshantsha's final product. 1.2 Explain how the external factors below can influence Yivani Naturals in a negative way 1.2.1 Inflation (2) 1.2.2 Crime (2) 1.2.3 Suppliers (2) 1.3 Explain the importance of finances as part of a business plan.
