OAG113 Week 6: Graphics Practice
To prove you have learned how to properly use graphics, you will create a document featuring a variety of graphic features. You may use Word or Google Docs. You must upload and submit your completed document by next class. If you are having trouble uploading the document to Google Classroom with correct formatting, try uploading it as a .pdf or .jpeg.
Goal:
Rather than creating a particular document, we are simply going to practice using the tools. Therefore, you are going to create a fact sheet about your favourite animal, but dont worry, we arent going to need to do any research. You will not have to write any text, you will simply be practicing how to insert images and other graphics, use columns, and create an effective title.
Follow the instructions carefully:
-
Call your document Graphics Practice
-
Fill the page with Loren Ipsum text (Use: www.lipsum.com)
-
Arrange your Loren Ipsum text into 2 columns
-
Insert a line between your two columns
-
Within your text insert three images of your animal from the Internet (2 of the images should be wrapped, 1 should not)
-
Add 1 additional graphic into your document (Add an example of SmartArt if using Microsoft Word, or a Chart if using Google Docs)
-
Add a title which states the name of your animal (Use Word Art is using Microsoft Word, and change the font, size, and colour of the text if using Google Docs)
When you have finished these steps your work for this week is complete, and you may submit the document.
