3) Revising:
Now that you have composed your email, review if for format, tone, grammar, organization pattern, conciseness, clarity, and correctness.
Does it include a personalized salutation and a complete signature with your full name, and contact info? Do the formality levels of the salutation and complimentary close match?
4) Submitting:Attach your email (pdf or doc) through blackboard.
Your email will be scored on the following items: No longer than one page single spaced.
- Relevant subject line
- An opening that reveals the main idea immediately
- Body copy that provides more information about the reason for writing
- Closing that indicates a next action
- Accuracy of grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Overall format (to, from, date, subject, opening salutation, closing, paragraph formatting correct)
