Of course we would all like to be totally free of debt. Being free of consumer debt (credit cards, maybe car loans) is a reasonable goal in my opinion. Bit being free of mortgage debt, or a home loan, is not realistic for most people. Homes are too expensive. The average worker would need to work 20 or 30 years to save enough money to buy a house. Luckily, home loans are common and easy to obtain.

So, what is your opinion on debt? Is it a good idea? To buy a house? To get an education? To buy a car? What do you think?
