Office Politics and You, Part II

After some reflection, you decide that you don$$t want to be bypassed for promotions again, especially not by someone who is a poorer performer than you. You will not stoop to politics but you will start to think about how to influence other people$$s impressions of you and how to accrue influence even when lacking the power of formal authority.

You ask yourself: whose cooperation do I need to effectively do my job. You identify three people each in Manufacturing and Finance you need to have on your side sufficiently that you can approach them for assistance despite having no formal authority over them.

List and briefly describe the approach $($or approaches$)$ you would use to influence these six people and win their cooperation going forward?
