Officer Ryan was friends with Bill who owned an auto body shop. One day, Ryan and Bill went fishing and Ryan told Bill that he heard at the police station that all auto body shops were going to be investigated as "chop shops," where stolen cars were dismantled and sold for parts. When the Chief of Police found out Ryan had told Bill about the investigation, the Chief asked the prosecutor to charge Ryan with obstruction of justice. Does Ryan have a defense?
