Oftentimes we think of the middleman is acting as the agent. There are two types of agency, however. One is when the middleman assumes the inventory and is responsible for the purchase and housing of it, and another, where he is only acting broker between two parties. The assumption of risk varies depending on these roles. Can anyone think of situations in which an agent or a broker was used?
