Ok so here is my dilemma.. I have to write concerning the answer to this particular question : (see below)

Question:

Alright all, I have a pretty difficult forum question for you this week. The hypothesis tests you learned last week (one sample z and t) are fractions. Without using the words/phrases mean, variance, standard deviation, error, sample size, please use your own words to describe the meaning of the numerator and the denominator of these hypothesis fractions

I have read nothing in the the notes or text about this.

Can somebody please explain and help me understand what he wants here?
