Read the attached Sytech Case carefully, and prepare a write-up [one per group of up to 4 students) to address the following questions. Submit your answers and spreadsheet via Canvas by 8 a.rn. on due date. Questions: Using the model described in the case, write brief answers to each of the following questions listed below. 1. All organizations make such product-market-plant decisions. Suppose you were making this decision without using linear programming. What method or rule of thumb would you use to decide which products to manufacture at which plants for which markets? What would your decision be, and what is 3mm net prot? Be specic in yOur answer. 2. Implement a linear programming decision support model (in Excel) to address the production planning problem described in the case. For your convenience, the spreadsheet Syteckjaraxls contains the data from the Sytech case. Be sure to lay out the model in a neat and systematic way, adding titles, comments, etc. Before implementing the spreadsheet model, you may want to rst read the later questions to ensure that your implementation can easily accommodate the needed analysis and will be easy to follow.
