On Friday night, the Goldrush High School hosted a big football game with their crosstown rival and was expected to be a sellout of approximately 8,000 fans (students, parents grandparents etc...) in the Goldrush Stadium. Two individual Booster Clubs; the Band Boosters and the Baseball Booster had individuals working the two concession stands that sold hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, candy and soda pop. After the game was over and concession items were consumed, the two groups brought in a total revenue of $12,400. Before the contest, the Goldrush Director of Athletics agreed to the terms with the Booster groups that 20% of the total revenue would go into the "Unified Athletic Fund" and the remaining 80% would be split evenly between the Band and Baseball Boosters who worked behind the stands.

The actual cost of all of the items sold (e.g. hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza slices, chips, candy and soda pop etc.) = $9,000

The State Sales Tax = 8%

Total Revenue from 1 football game = $12,400
