On page $13$ in our textbook there was a section on Applied or Basic research $($though there are other ways to categorize research$).$ For the Adaptive Reuse article, would you consider this applied or basic research? Do you think that this research fits into applied or basic research?

If I had to pick just one $-$ I$\text{'}$d say that it's applied research since it is focused on a real world problem $($expansion of health systems$)$ and has direct implications on policy and practice
