On Tuesday, Jerry contracted with Frank to purchase some lumber that he needed to build a shedfor a client, which needed to be completed by Sunday. The lumber was to be delivered that Friday. Immediately after buying the lumber, Jerry contracted with George to provide his labour for Friday. Though George had a very busy work schedule, he was going to be able to work with Jerry on Friday. Jerry knew that with George's help on Friday, he would have just enough time to complete the shed for Sunday.

On Friday, Frank called Jerry to tell him that the lumber would not be ready until Monday. Jerry immediately began trying to find other lumber, but he was not able to find what he needed and get it delivered until Saturday morning. The new lumber cost Jerry twice what Frank's lumber was going to cost. Jerry lost a full day's work and George was not able to help him on any day but Friday, so Jerry did not finish the shed until Tuesday. Also, Jerry still had to pay George for his time on Friday, even though he was not able to be working. When the shed was late, Jerry's client demanded a 10% discount.

Which of the following damages can Jerry claim from Frank?

2) B. The cost of a truck tire that Jerry punctured on his way to the new lumber yard.

3) C. The cost of the payment that Jerry had to make to George.

4) D. The cost of the discount that Jerry had to give to his client.

5) All of the above.

6) A, B and D.

7) A, C and D.
