One application of logarithms is the way earthquakes are measured. You may have heard of the Richter Scale which is a numeric measure of the magnitude of an earthquake. Today, most earthquakes are measured using a moment magnitude scale. Your task for this discussion is to research two recent (since 2000) earthquakes. For each, tell the location of the earthquake, the magnitude of the earthquake and some of the damage caused.
