One of the easiest places to see culture at work in a company is in its HR practices. Canadian culture has led to a strong culture of worker rights to health and safety, fair pay, and gender equality. In Canada all work is respected and all workers deserve respect (your professor worked his way through two degrees cleaning washrooms). Other cultures take different perspectives of what a human being is, especially what role a worker might play in the culture or how different kinds of work or workers are to be perceived in terms of their value.

Then think about what you have experienced in your home culture. Do you see similarities? Differences What are they? Briefly explain what you have seen and how you see it reflecting your national culture, or the national culture of the workplace. How are the cultural values visible in how workers are treated?
