With technology, fraud investigators will also use technology to investigate, track, and monitor fraud. The digital footprint will allow investigators to gather more data on fraud and make analytical patterns about fraudand even predict fraud in the future. As fraudsters use technological advances, organizations and fraud investigators must also use technology to combat the fraudsters.

For this weeks assignment, you will write a paper covering the use of technology in fraud examination and the role digital currency may play in the commission of fraud. Case 3.4 is available to you in this weeks resources. This assignment provides some flexibility in that you are examining two items: cryptocurrency and technology (IT, Internet, etc.).
